PACURH, or the Pacific Affiliate of College and University Residence Halls, is one of the eight regions of NACURH, Inc., the largest student run non-profit corporation in the world. We strive to bring student leaders from across the Pacific region together with the aim to create the best possible experience for students living on college and university campuses.

The region is led by an elected Regional Board of Directors, who work to bring resources and opportunities to the members of the region through conferences, webinars, and philanthropy. Through the collaboration of student leaders, PACURH encourages fairness, understanding, and progress on all campuses that we represent.

About Us

Our History

The Pacific Affiliate of College and University Residence Halls (PACURH) was formed in 1965 through the merger of the Pacific North (PNACURH) and Southern Pacific (SPACURH) regions. As one of eight regions of the National Association of College and University Residence Halls (NACURH), PACURH has grown into a vibrant network of schools across the Pacific, dedicated to leadership development, recognition, service, and connection among residence hall leaders.

Over the decades, PACURH has hosted award-winning conferences, pioneered initiatives for diversity, accessibility, and inclusivity, and celebrated countless achievements from adopting our beloved mascot, Jeremiah T. Frog, in 1996, to hosting conferences in both the U.S. and Canada. Guided by its mission to empower student leaders and strengthen campus communities, PACURH continues to innovate through regional service projects, strategic planning, and recognition programs, while fostering a spirit of collaboration and pride across the Pacific.

The Regional Board of Directors

The Regional Board of Directors, known as the RBD, is the group who works together to lead the Pacific region. The RBD consists of a Director, two Associate Directors (ADs), four Coordinating Officers (COs), and two professional staff advisors. The board helps to engage and encourage leaders in PACURH so that growth can be made on all possible levels. All RBD members are full-time students (or staff members in the case of the advisors) within their respective host institutions.
